zLink won the contract to implement their zLinkFM™ Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) Software platform for the State of Washington, Department of Ecology. The new system will replace the WA DoE’s current systems with an integrated CAFM workspace management system. The system will cover the Ecology Department’s entire facilities and asset portfolio. The CAFM will track and manage space utilization, Work Orders, inventory, real property, leases, and facilitate annual Capital Planning and Operations Budgets. The new system will:

• Improve efficiency and productivity of Facility Operations

• Standardize agency Facilities Management processes.

• Improve work services and planned and unplanned maintenance scheduling.

• Improve accuracy of data and enterprise reporting.

• Improve ability to meet business needs and objectives.

• Reduce paper record generation and storage.

About Washington State, Department of Ecology

The WA DoE Facilities Department, Administrative Services Division is responsible for the management and maintenance of nine key sites across Washington State. The facilities managed range from office accommodation to laboratories, educational facilities, workshops, and storage spaces. There are approximately 31 properties with a total area of 600,000 sq. ft. and over 1,700 staff.
